Vinopolis Closing

I went there a few times with work colleagues: it is a lovely space and is perfectly located. If I was an entrepreneur, I would open a restaurant there that only serves food cooked (properly) with meat...

While I like Waitrose and would support the scheme I think a supermarket would create parking issues for local residents which have already been reduced by Boris bike stands that are little used

Hopefully we could have a new Starbucks. The old one in Clink Street was reportedly closed down by onerous rents and unfriendly residents in the same building (Winchester Wharf)

The plan is indeed for a mall style development of shops, bars and restaurants. They are consulting on something "upmarket", so hopefully there will be a good number of small and independent outlets...

Having seen the plans now, it would seem that the council is trying to put in fashion retail in the space but not 'chains'. Knowing this industry well, it is not likely to fly sadly and the only ones...

I am not sure I agree that this site is too close to the likes of Oxford St and Covent Garden for retail to be viable. There is an ever expanding workforce and resident community in the London Bridge...
